We believe children learn best in an environment where they are applying what they are taught in a fun and interesting way. Children with a wide variety of diagnosis are appropriate for participation in our social skills groups. A skilled team of Speech therapists, along with trained staff and volunteers, run a number of groups based on age and ability levels. Our therapists and staff utilize the Social Thinking curriculum along with a variety of research based techniques to target pragmatic and social skills. Children will be given the opportunity to improve conversation, perspective taking, and increase independence. Groups are formed based on both age and ability level and are offered throughout the week. All individuals must have a speech evaluation conducted in order to be placed in the appropriate group.
