I started working as a CCT Speech-Language Pathologist in August of 2009. (I can’t believe it’s already been 2 years!) I enjoy the Children’s Center staff and its family-centered atmosphere. I also love that it offers Manantial, a support group specifically for Hispanic parents of children with special needs.

I love working as a pediatric speech pathologist because no career could ever be as fun or spontaneous as one that works with kids! I have worked at the Children’s Center since April of 2011, and my areas of special interest include articulation remediation and language intervention.

I originally chose to work in Speech Pathology because I could not imagine a more rewarding, challenging, and enjoyable career. Every day is different and you never know what to expect! After several very fulfilling grad school experiences, I knew I wanted to work with the pediatric population.

I love my work as a Children’s Center speech-language pathologist because children never fail to keep my life exciting! After working with adults throughout college, training, and at a previous job, I knew that my calling was a career that involved kids.

Children have taught me more about myself and the world than I ever learned in a class. Both my own children and those that I get to work with are constantly teaching and challenging me, making me a better person.

After working over 10 years as a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist, I have enjoyed my time at CCT because it’s allowed me to work with children of various ages and disabilities. It’s given me the opportunity to help kids communicate their needs and wants through alternative means.
